A few thoughts

Here are a few thoughts about some of what is going on at Foothills Community Church:

As summer winds down, things start to really crank up at FCC. We have a huge day of next steps coming up on August 25th. There will be many opportunities to connect at FCC.

1) We will be doing baptisms at all 3 campuses during the services on  that day. If you are a Christ-follower and have never made your faith public through baptism, this is your next step! You can sign-up right now.

2) We have our next Get In The Game on August 25th at all 3 campuses. If you're new to FCC or just want to know more about the church, or would like to join FCC this is your next step. The class begins after the Sunday morning service (after the 11:15am service at Seneca campus). We provide lunch, childcare and all material for the class. You can sign-up right now.

3) Small groups kick-off will begin on August 25th for most groups (some groups actually will begin August 21st). Being connected to a small group is one of the best things you can do to connect, grow spiritually, find support, and build friendships within the church. If you only come to church on Sunday morning, you are missing out. Why not consider joining a group. Here is more info about small groups.

* On another note, it's hard to believe that we are only about a month away from adding our 4th campus in Habersham County (Cornelia), GA. Please keep our campus Pastor, Stan Crump in your prayers as he begins this new adventure .

* Really looking forward to our staff retreat later this week. We will be praying and planning for the upcoming year. This will be a great time to re-focus after summer.

 * It's unbelievable how many new people are coming to FCC. Every week we see so many new faces. That's awesome!

* College football season is only a couple weeks away! The Clemson vs Georgia game will be huge. I'm thinking about making a friendly wager with our campus Pastors in Ga, Pastor Brian Marshall (Toccoa), Pastor Austin Canen (Hartwell) and Pastor Stan Crump (Habersham), that if Clemson wins, they will have to wear a Clemson shirt on Sunday, September 1st. In the small chance that Clemson were to lose, I would wear a Ga. Bulldog shirt on September 1st.

* You do not want to miss this Sunday. It is going to be fantastic!
